UCLA, San Diego State Tie for Soccer Title

Although UCLA tied South Carolina, 0-0, Sunday, the Bruins shared the championship of the UCLA/Met Life Pacific Soccer tournament at Westwood with San Diego State.
Sixth-ranked San Diego defeated Navy, 2-0, Sunday, the same score the Bruins (10-4-2) defeated Navy by on Saturday. San Diego (13-2-3) also played South Carolina to a scoreless tie in the 2-day event.
UCLA’s Anton Nistl, who Sunday recorded his 10th shutout of the season, and sixth straight, was named the tournament’s defensive MVP. San Diego’s Eric Wynalda was the offensive MVP.
