Local News in Brief : Costa Mesa : Driver Fatally Injured When Car Hits Truck

A man suffered fatal injuries Wednesday when his station wagon struck the rear of a flatbed truck that had stopped for a traffic light on Baker Street, police said.
The victim, identified as Raymond Llamas, 39, of Costa Mesa, died of head and chest injuries shortly after arriving at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center, police said.
The driver of the truck, Robert Matthew Kline, 28, of Huntington Beach, was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released, police said.
The accident occurred about 9 a.m. at the intersection of Baker and Milbro streets.
