A schoolgirl who ran across the street to catch a bus and was hit by a car died at Children’s Hospital early Friday, police said.
April D. Johnson, 11, who lived in the 4400 block of Mayberry Street and attended Montgomery Junior High School, died of massive head injuries at 12:28 a.m., a deputy coroner said.
On Wednesday, Johnson ran across South 43rd Street and was hit by a car, San Diego Police Detective Bob Harrison said.
