Carpinteria 55, Moorpark 7--Quarterback Coley Candaele and running back Jose Hernandez each rushed for 2 first-half touchdowns to lead Carpinteria (6-2, 3-0) at home.
The loss was Moorpark’s 48th consecutive to Carpinteria dating to 1934.
Moorpark (1-7, 0-3) scored just before halftime when Tony Upshaw returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.
Carpinteria rolled up 339 yards total offense and the Warrior defense sacked Musketeer quarterback Robert Hernandez 7 times for minus-61 yards. Moorpark had minus-15 total yards in the game.
Candaele rushed for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns in 10 carries and passed for a touchdown.
