Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in which at least 12 bullets fired from a passing pickup truck struck a La Habra home. No one was injured, police said.
“There were people inside the home at the time but no one was injured,” La Habra Police Lt. Wayne Lowry said.
The shooting occured about 7:15 p.m., when the black pickup carrying as many as three suspects drove down the 300 block of North Virginia Street.
A witness saw the vehicle travel west on a nearby street as it left the scene of the shooting, police said.
Lowry said drive-by shootings had been a thing of the past in that community.
“We haven’t had any trouble like this until recently,” he said. “It’s been quiet for 2 years, but it has started appearing again.”
