Homeless

In reading the paper, I note that the Queen of Angels Medical Center is closing (“Hospital Merger Will Close Aging Queen of Angels,” Part I, Nov. 4). The thought struck me, why not housing for the homeless. Here, in the right area to accommodate our homeless, is a 404-bedroom facility with beds and bathrooms. And to go one step further--why not offer a weekly or monthly money bonus to residents that keep their rooms and baths clean and sanitary? I have a feeling that this would solve some of the problems and would cost less in the long run than some of the programs we are trying now.
