Burbank 19, Alhambra 8--Anthony Valento completed 9 of 10 passes for 101 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for another score as the Bulldogs clinched a tie for second place in the league at Burroughs High.
Tarin Cardenaz, who has rushed for 1,042 yards this season, gained a game-high 115 yards in 18 carries, and the Bulldog defense intercepted 2 passes and held Alhambra quarterback Jesus Salazar to 3 completions in 25 attempts.
The Bulldogs (7-3, 4-2) were penalized 15 times for 135 yards.
Burbank took a 13-0 lead in the first quarter when Valento connected with Dan Shaw from 9 yards.
Fullback Tony Spatola scored on a 2-yard run to give Burbank a 19-0 halftime lead.
