Notre Dame, West Virginia in Fiesta

Top-ranked Notre Dame and No. 4 West Virginia will play in the Fiesta Bowl, a selection committee official told the Associated Press Sunday.
Although bowl bids are not officially extended until Saturday, a high-ranking member of the Fiesta selection committee said, “It’s done.”
The official said there are no conditional deals, which means the Fiesta Bowl could wind up with a couple of also-rans if Notre Dame loses either of its last 2 regular-season games against Penn State and second-ranked USC and West Virginia drops its finale to No. 15 Syracuse.
On the other hand, if the two team remain undefeated the game would be rescheduled to Jan. 3 at 5 p.m., according to what Don Meyers, chairman of the bowl’s selection committee, told the New York Times.
