Three more children came forward Wednesday claiming they were victims in a case in which a 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with 120 counts of sexually molesting young girls.

Ezra Adams of Ramona is being held on $1.9 million bail at County Jail downtown after being arrested Tuesday at his trailer on Mussey Grade Road, where the molestations are believed to have taken place, said Sgt. Ron Cottingham of the Sheriff’s Department.

So far, five girls ages 8 to 12 have reported that they were sexually molested by Adams, Cottingham said, and more are expected to surface.

The arrest came after two sisters, ages 8 and 12, told their parents that Adams had molested them, Cottingham said.

Sheriff’s investigators believe Ezra may have used hypnosis on his victims and said they found a book on self-hypnosis when they searched his home.

Cottingham said detectives seized videocassettes, 8-millimeter film and still photographs of young girls during the search. They said they will use the photographs to try to identify other victims.

“A lot of work still needs to be done,” Cottingham said. “We have a lot of cleaning up to do, but we will tie this case up into a tight prosecutional package.”
