Morocco Names New Education Minister

RABAT, Morocco — King Hassan I has appointed Tayeb Chkili, a former member of the Moroccan Communist party, as education minister, officials said Wednesday.
He replaces Mohammed Hilali, an independent who was appointed in September, 1986. No reasons for the change was given.
Chkili is a former a member of the Moroccan Communist Party’s central committee.
