Am I the only person in L.A. who gets vertigo--nausea--trying to look at the paintings in the new Japanese Pavilion at the County Museum of Art?

The choiceless viewer is separated from the pictures by a Lucite railing; and between the railings and the pictures is an open-space drop of a thousand feet.

All right, I’m exaggerating; but it still makes me sick.
