A 17-year-old youth was shot in the head as he stood on a Santa Ana street corner, police said. The youth was in critical condition Friday at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. He was standing with a group at 600 N. Lacy St. in Santa Ana on Thursday night when suspected members of a gang drove by and fired one blast from a shotgun, hitting the victim in the head, police said. The victim’s identity was not released because he is a juvenile.
