Peter Greenberg’s article, “A Room With a Fireplace” (Nov. 13), was very interesting and informative. However, I, too, search out interesting hotels and inns that have fireplaces. A favorite lodge/hotel of mine, Cambria Pines Lodge, is on the Pacific Coast. It was built in the 1940s and has since been refurbished.
The lodge is nestled on 25 wooded acres in the hills of Cambria (seven miles from Hearst Castle) and offers cabins and suites with fireplaces and a pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, physical fitness training equipment, outdoor activities and a restaurant.
