Army trucks and charter buses ferried 60,000 people to work in Paris as a transit strike in the French capital worsened, with three more unions announcing they will join the walkout, which began Monday. Buses, the Metro subway system and suburban commuter trains have been seriously affected. Meanwhile, the strike, initiated by the Communist-led CGT union, spread to Marseilles.
