Glendale 88, Antelope Valley 66--Dave Swanson, a freshman from Alemany, scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Vaqueros to a first-round victory in the Golden West tournament.
Gary Fowler had 13 points and 16 rebounds and Alex Berry added 15 points and 12 rebounds for Glendale.
Whittier 85, The Master’s 78--Daren Mekkers scored a game-high 21 points off the bench for Whittier in a nonconference game at Whittier.
Freshman forward Jason Webster scored a team-high 16 points for Master’s (3-5).
