Pincay Rides Perceive Arrogance to Win at Hollypark

Perceive Arrogance held off Bosphorus to win the $29,000 feature race by a neck at Hollywood Park Wednesday before a crowd of 10,656.
Perceive Arrogance, the 8-5 favorite ridden by Laffit Pincay, ran the mile in 1:34 4/5 and paid $5.20, $3.20 and $2.60. The victory was worth $15,950.
Bosphorus, ridden by Corey Black, crossed the finish line 3 1/2 lengths in front of Diamond Bank and returned $7.40 and $7.40.
The first two finishers battled on nearly even terms throughout the stretch, but Perceive Arrogance kept the lead throughout in scoring his narrow victory.
Diamond Bank, a 21-1 longshot ridden by Alex Solis, was a neck ahead of Sure Swift at the wire and paid $6.60 to show.
