The Santa Monica-Malibu school board on Monday honored Santa Monica and Malibu residents for their work on behalf of Proposition TT.
Proposition TT, a school-funding tax that amounts to $58 on each parcel of land in the district, was approved by 74.9% of the voters.
Bob Holbrook, the board’s president, presented volunteers Dianne Berman, Randi Johnson, Elaine Goralnick, Dorothy Koutouratsas, Joanne Leavitt, Allan Lebowitz, Richard Maullin, Councilwomen Christine Reed and Judy Abdo and Santa Monica Mayor Dennis Zane with large acrylic pencils, engraved with the name of the proposition, the percentage of the vote the measure received, the name of the school district and the volunteer’s name.
