Two former South Korean Cabinet ministers were arrested on corruption charges stemming from an investigation into widespread abuses under former President Chun Doo Hwan, officials said. Government prosecutors said that Kim Chong Ho, former construction minister, was arrested on charges of taking bribes from construction companies in the massive urban redevelopment projects in central Seoul. Also arrested was Cha Kyu Hun, who once served as transportation minister under Chun. Cha is charged with taking bribes from businessmen for helping them obtain permits to build and operate golf courses.
