No beer or liquor will be sold at Cincinnati’s Riverfront Stadium after the third quarter of the AFC playoff game Saturday between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Seattle Seahawks.
City Manager Scott Johnson said that the New Year’s Eve game, coupled with the city’s Countdown ’89 celebration, will combine to bring about 140,000 people to the downtown area. The decision was reportedly made to help prevent rowdiness.
