Tiebreaker for College Football Recommended

The American Football Coaches Assn. recommended Tuesday that the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. adopt a tiebreaker for all college football games.
The recommendation, announced at the AFCA’s annual convention in Nashville, Tenn., is one of many proposed changes that will be voted on when the NCAA Football Rules Committee meets next week.
The proposed tiebreaker would be the first for major college teams.
Under the proposed rule, an overtime would start with a coin toss and each team would get an opportunity to score, starting from its 25-yard line. The teams would play as long as needed to determine a winner.
