Westinghouse Electric Corp.’s 1988 profit increased 14% from last year to $823 million. Sales and revenue rose to $12.5 billion, up 10%. The Pittsburgh-based electronics, broadcasting and financial services company said the results were due in part to higher revenue from its industries, electronics systems, broadcasting and financial services operations as well as increased interest income and a gain on the sale of a division of Westinghouse Credit Corp. in the third quarter.
