WASHINGTON — A gunman opened fire on a crowd of students outside a District of Columbia high school Thursday, wounding four, police said.
There were no arrests, but authorities were said to be searching for three men possibly fleeing in a Jeep.
The shooting “seemed to be the result of an altercation that had taken place earlier in the day,” said Capt. Robert L. Gales of the District of Columbia police. He said he did not know what the dispute had concerned.
The shootings at Wilson High School in affluent northwest Washington occurred moments after the students had been dismissed for the day.
