Southland : Man Dies in Leap From Hotel Roof

A 24-year-old man leaped to his death from the roof of the 16-story Marriott Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport this morning, fire officials reported.
The man, who was not identified, ignored shouted pleas to retreat to safety and leaped about an hour after he was spotted sitting on the edge of the roof of the hotel on Century Boulevard.
