Rohr Industries, a Chula Vista-based manufacturer of jet engine components, has named Robert H. Goldsmith its new president and chief operating officer. Goldsmith, 58, joined Rohr in 1984 as senior vice president of operations. Previously, he spent 25 years at General Electric. Goldsmith succeeds Harry Todd, who will remain Rohr’s chairman and chief executive.
