Overton, Moore & Associates Inc., Los Angeles, has entered into a long-term ground lease with Cox Broadcasting Co. to create a $30-million business park on radio station KFI’s transmitter site in La Mirada.
Cox, the parent firm of KFI, owns the 25-acre site straddling the Los Angeles/Orange County line, which will continue to be the home of 50,000-watt KFI’s transmitting facility, including its distinctive towers adjacent to the Santa Ana Freeway, according to Malcolm O’Donnell of Overton, Moore.
A first-quarter 1990 occupancy is scheduled for the first four-building, 217,000-square-foot phase of the more than 500,000-square-foot development, he added. The architect is Withee Malcolm Partnership, Hermosa Beach.
