NEW YORK — Italian auto manufacturer Fiat SpA, which recently entered a joint marketing agreement with Chrysler Corp., began trading today on the New York Stock Exchange.
Fiat Chairman Giovanni Agnelli said his company, Italy’s largest private-sector corporation, is sizing up further deals in North America and hopes to gain stature by being listed on the largest U.S. exchange.
