Local News in Brief : Mother of Boy Found Hanged Is Sought

Police were looking Friday for the mother of a 3-year-old boy who was found hanging from a rafter in his Mid-City home.
The body of Manuel Aparicio was found by his father, Guillermo Aparicio, 30, on Thursday afternoon when the latter went to the house in the 2000 block of Chariton Street near Culver City.
Lt. Steve Day of the Police Department’s child protection section, said the boy’s mother, Bella Aparicio, 28, was seen leaving the home about an hour before the husband’s arrival and is listed as a suspect in the case.
