Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. said it had agreed to buy Hachette Group’s 50% stake in Premier magazine, giving News Corp. complete control of the U.S. publication. The price was not disclosed. Premier, a movie magazine, was formed 18 months ago as a joint venture between News Corp.’s News America Publishing Inc. and Hachette Publications Inc., the French group’s U.S. arm. Premier’s circulation is now over 400,000, News Corp. said.
