James A. D’Aquila has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer at Columbia Savings & Loan Assn., Beverly Hills. D’Aquila replaces David Rosenthal. He will also co-head Columbia’s capital markets group. D’Aquila previously was corporate vice president and West Coast director of Drexel Burnham Lambert’s financial institutions group. Rosenthal has resigned to form a thrift consulting firm, Rosenthal Consulting Group.
