Michael I. Cohen and Richard P. Kuntz have joined 3i Capital, Newport Beach, as vice presidents. The firm invests in companies seeking capital for growth, the repurchase of shares or leveraged buyouts. Cohen was previously an investment manager with Norwest Venture Capital in Portland. Before that, he served in engineering and management positions with General Electric Co. in Philadelphia and Kulicke & Soffa Industries Inc. in Horsham, Pa. Kuntz had previously been vice president, corporate finance, for Prudential Capital Corp., a subsidiary of Prudential Insurance Co. of America. Earlier, he held analytical and operating positions with E.F. Hutton & Co., New York, and Texas Air Corp., Houston.
