Marina’s Ross Named Tops in Sunset League

Sandra Ross of Marina High School has been named player of the year in the Sunset League in a vote of the league’s girls’ soccer coaches.

Ross, a senior sweeper, helped guide Marina to the league championship, making it the only team in eight years to beat Edison, this season’s runner-up, for the league title. Ross, a two-year starter, contributed to 10 shutouts.
