MX Missiles

President Bush’s recent decision to seek basing of 50 MX missiles on rail cars (Part I, April 22) has given me cause to reflect. As we, residents of Southern California, sit mired in freeway traffic, above gang-plagued streets, breathing the nation’s dirtiest air at least we can rest easier in the knowledge that we live in a country where the missiles will run on time.
