BARCELONA, Spain — International Olympic Committee President Juan Antonio Samaranch left the Quiron Clinic today after six days of treatment of a bleeding colon ulcer.
Clinic spokeswoman Elisabet Cardoner said the 68-year-old Samaranch, a native of Barcelona, was expected to fly to his IOC office in Lausanne, Switzerland, later in the afternoon. Samaranch told reporters that he is to lighten his workload and closely follow a special diet.
