TOKYO — Rostislav Vlach’s goal in the last two minutes gave Czechoslovakia a 3-3 tie against the world champion Soviet ice hockey team today in a three-nation double round-robin tournament.
The Soviet Union led 2-1 in the first period on goals by Alexei Kasatonov and Andrei Kovalev and boosted the lead to 3-1 in the second period.
But Czechoslovakia, which finished third after Canada in the World Championships in Stockholm in May, fought back with two third-period goals, including Vlach’s shot from short range.
