State Sen. Wadie Deddeh (D-Chula Vista) was “a little better and a little stronger” Friday after open-heart surgery four days ago, said his administrative assistant Fran Shaw.
He was listed in good condition at Sharp Memorial Hospital, hospital spokeswoman Caty Van Housen said.
Deddeh was moved out of the intensive-care unit Thursday after double bypass surgery Tuesday, Shaw said.
Deddeh, 68, represents the 40th District, which covers parts of the city of San Diego and southern San Diego County.
