South Gate : Blood Donations Accepted Monthly at Red Cross Office

Residents may give blood at the American Red Cross Service Center, 9200 State St., South Gate, from 2:45 to 7:30 p.m. on the last Friday of every month. Donors must be healthy and 17 or older. Appointments can be made by calling the Red Cross at 739-5290.
More than 200 hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange counties are supplied by Red Cross Blood Services. The short shelf life of blood products, anywhere from a few hours to 42 days, makes continual giving necessary.
