Honeywell Reducing Corporate Staff: Honeywell Inc. said it will cut its corporate staff by 300, mostly through layoffs. The defense contractor and building controls maker said 75 of the jobs will be lost to attrition, while the balance of the cuts will be made with layoffs and some early retirements. Employees will know by June 26 if they are going to be laid off. About 200 of the cuts will be made at the company’s Minneapolis headquarters. The company said it was trimming its work force to save money.
