An unidentified man was critically injured Monday when he fell into the path of a San Diego Trolley car in downtown San Diego.
The victim was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was undergoing treatment for head injuries, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The accident occurred at 12th Avenue and Market Street.
Trolley service was disrupted from about 12:35 p.m. until 2 p.m.
