ROMULUS, Mich. — A young woman, apparently set afire after being splashed with gasoline, was in critical condition Monday in the burn unit at the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor, family members said.
Kristen Grauman, 19, of Taylor is suffering from third-degree burns over more than 90% of her body after the Saturday incident in the Detroit suburb of Romulus. She was so severely burned that she has been unable to tell police who attacked her or why, officials said.
