A man who allegedly impersonated an insect exterminator, then stole expensive items from the San Diego County homes he entered, was arrested Tuesday, San Diego police said.
Donald McNeely, 29, was arrested Tuesday as he left his La Mesa home, police said. Among the homes burglarized in a monthlong spree was one in Fairbanks Ranch, from which $46,000 in jewelry was missing, police said.
The San Diego Police Department made the arrest because the initial thefts occurred within its jurisdiction, according to a police spokesman.
