William Celestine of Manual Arts High scored 13 points and Andre Akins of Muir added 10 to lead Mid-Valley to a 66-46, third-round victory over Utah on Thursday in the American Roundball Corp. Future Stars Showdown at Cal State Northridge.
Dana Jones, a senior at North Hollywood, scored seven points for Mid-Valley.
Mid-Valley will play Bloomington, Ind., in a quarterfinal game at 4:30 this afternoon at Northridge.
In another third-round game, San Fernando Valley was eliminated in an 80-43 loss to Fresno.
