OKLAHOMA CITY — Willy Quest, the No. 2 seed in men’s singles in U.S. Olympic Festival tennis competition, has withdrawn from the singles portion of the tournament because of an eye injury.
Quest, a Long Beach resident and member of the West team, has a mild abrasion of the white part of the right eye, according to Dr. David Joyner, head physician for USOF-’89.
“It probably isn’t sport-related,” Joyner said. “It happens to people that wear contact lenses all the time.”
