Tosco: The Santa Monica oil refiner and fertilizer maker reported second-quarter net income of $28.0 million, a decline of 24%, on revenue of $334.2 million, a 2% increase. John G. Drosdick, chief executive, said the results “were impacted by some of the heaviest planned maintenance performed in the last several years with several refinery units shutdown longer than planned.” The results do not include those of Seminole Fertilizer Corp., which was acquired on June 30, 1989.
