Rite Aid Indictment Blocked: An Ohio judge issued a temporary restraining order to indefinitely block execution of a bribery indictment against Rite Aid Corp., the nation’s largest drugstore chain, and its president. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Lillian Greene issued the order in response to a motion from Rite Aid and company President Martin Grass. A hearing has been scheduled for Monday. The indictment, unsealed Tuesday, charged Rite Aid and Grass with bribery and possession of criminal tools. Grass, who is free on $100,000 bond, was arrested in Cleveland on April 27 after allegedly giving a $33,000 bribe to Ohio Board of Pharmacy member Melvin Wilczynski of Toledo. Authorities said Grass was trying to bribe the board member to resign so a person more favorable to Rite Aid could be appointed.
