Sal Aunese, University of Colorado quarterback who is battling inoperable stomach cancer, has been readmitted to University Hospital in Boulder, Colo., and has been taken off chemotherapy treatment because of a low white blood cell count.

Aunese was admitted Friday after a routine blood test revealed the white cell deficiency, and he is expected to remain hospitalized through the end of this week.
