Man Dies After Pickup Truck Rolls Over Him

A Chatsworth man who was run over by his pickup truck after apparently falling out of its cab in Pacoima died Saturday of his injuries, Los Angeles police said.

The man, whose name was withheld until authorities notified his relatives, was pronounced dead Saturday morning at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, Officer Bill Mulvihill said.

A witness told police that the man, believed to be in his early 40s, fell out of the truck while backing it along Pierce Street near Oneida Avenue, Mulvihill said. He was run over by the truck’s left-front wheel, Mulvihill said.
