A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian in Escondido, the coroner’s office reported Sunday.
Patricia M. Hanrahan, 35, was walking with her disabled bicycle on North Center City Parkway near Ivy Dell Lane when she was struck by a car at 11:30 p.m. Saturday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol later arrested a driver in connection with the accident, said coroner’s deputy Charles Kelley. The CHP would not release the identity of the driver.
