Babbitt Hits Another Homer to Lift Cardinals

Troy Babbitt homered as the Orange County Cardinals defeated Farmington, 10-6, Sunday in the second round of the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, N.M.
Babbitt, a graduate of Western High School, has hit three home runs in the first two games. James Popoff, who plays for Cal State Fullerton, pitched six shutout innings in relief for the victory.
Orange County has a bye today and will play Tuesday in the semifinals of the winners’ bracket.
