James (Buster) Douglas, who outpointed Oliver McCall on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s last title defense, will probably be the next opponent for the heavyweight champion.
John Johnson, Douglas’ manager, said that terms have been set and that a contract should be signed within two days. Al Braverman, a spokesman for promoter Don King, said he expects the fight to be in October, adding that King will probably hold a news conference today.
