The Bob Hope/Hollywood USO Building, where servicemen went to concerts and dances for decades, has been purchased for nearly $3 million and is being converted into a headquarters for HKM Productions, a producer of TV commercials and feature films.
HKM bought the 19,000-square-foot building, at 1041 N. Ivar St., and sold its former facility, a 5,100-square-foot building at 1015 N. Fairfax Ave., to Bill Hudson Associates, a producer of TV commercials.
The Klabin Co. represented HKM in both deals, while Major Properties represented the USO, and Fred Sands Real Estate represented Bill Hudson Associates.
